Observing a Moment of Silence

We here at YNAB are used to putting forward a friendly, always-smiling face. We’re always happy (bouncing-off-the-walls-happy) to show you a new way to think about your money—how to gain a bit more control, make better financial decisions, do the things you should, and live the life you want.

Not everyone enjoys that privilege, simply because of the color of their skin. Today we publicly acknowledge that, while our normally-friendly face is a genuine one, we are saddened, somber, and painfully aware of the systemic racism in this world and specifically, in the United States.

We condemn all forms of racism, vigilantism, police brutality and injustice. We look forward to a day when that condemnation can go without saying.

We acknowledge our minuscule influence in this world, but still wish to do our part, which begins with this public acknowledgement. In a desire to offer a quieter time for deep self-reflection, focused listening, and the start of change, our social channels will be silent through Monday, June 8th.
